On the real….I woulda been deep blue splash white….blue white flyers. I threw up a little when you picked diabolic tutor and I understand that if it resolves that you get the best card you need for the better situation but I believe that it helps your opponent time walk you which you can’t really afford to have done. I love the videos and appreciate the draft picks and the analaysis on it all so keep them coming. Sidenote…I’ve 1st picked a baneslayer angel and as soon as I see white shoring up or see *insert color here* open I move in as quickly as possible and leave the bomb out of my deck for effeciency. It’s being able to see that you have a stronger deck than just a stronger card that makes drafting (and in essence winning) skill intesive. Thanks again

If you had brought back your viscera seer in that last match up, it seems like you would have had better protection against a potential mind control on Greg’s following turn. If he hadn’t had MC, the seer would have become a nasty threat what with the sword out and Sun Titan’s recursion…

Shmo, I disagree. I’ve seen limited matches where that thing swings in as a 5/4 on turn 3 and decimates games.

I said to myself “He is really going to regret not picking those two excommunicates.” Excommunicate after a mind control is possibly the coolest use of that card in Limited.

I didn’t even watch the rest of the draft after you passed the flier pick 2 pack 1…you just drafted a white bomb, so you pass a card that WILL people to your left in white. And Shade isn’t even that great, not to mention that W/B is horrible.
And Lich?…really? Drafts like this give this site no credibility.
Gak… what happened Endless?! You were all over the place in that draft… miss tapping lands.. missing plays… heh… sometimes it just doesn’t go your way in modo eh :) Still entertaining though.
IMO Getting the 2nd Bomb was a problem, maybe draft it but not using it in the deck, just so expensive that card, and there were 2 excommunicates going around the table if I remember right… sure they are not great… but better than no removal, and it dose slow em down giving your more time to get your bombs out. I dunno, if it was me I would have suffered card disadvantage from that scroll thief, you knew MC was in there, and that your deck was basiclly.. a “bomb” deck.. so MC was the biggest threat to you followed by AoT+Fling. That Vamp Seer was your best bet for winning

I get so sick of watching fun draft videos and then reading comments in which people just slam the guy in the video. If there was only one “correct” choice, M:TG would certainly suck. Isn’t the point of watching these videos to learn other’s ideas and see things from new perspectives?

I gotta tell you… that was about the most unfocused drafting I’ve ever seen in my life.
“I opened a Sun Titan, I’m gonna cut white” – proceeds to not cut white
“Let’s take a bunch of heavy black cards” – then decides not to cut black
“Let’s take heavy blue cards (i.e. water servant)” – then doesn’t cut blue
Your deck could have been ridiculous if you just focused on 2 colors instead of constantly swapping.
I just thought I would mention, you have some good instincts, like splashing for Air Servant and decent evaluation. You should know better than to draft a Lich in limited, especially with so few artifacts. That card is worthless without one of your artifacts on the field, which is why it gets passed around so late. WB is a tough color combo to draft because so many of each type of card have strict mana requirements, such as white and black knight, cloud crusader, etc, or give you benefits for the # or plains or swamps. You should try to focus on being majority black or white, and not just draft the best cards in a vacuum, that’s how you lose drafts.

do you play m11 ever? lots of sketchy picks. playing Lich with 2 artifacts (one of which is a guy) and 3 colors is just a real pre-release move.
also I dunno why you don’t think excommunicate is good, or why a late safe passage beats a late war priest?
@big dawg: the site being free doesnt really excuse shoddy drafting…I think you assume you’re going to get competent content when someone goes through the trouble of making a site to show off their drafting…
one more thing, nantuko shade isnt really that much crazier than looming shade. looking back it seems like you were just trying to play the max number of rares in this draft or something…
