(If you have applied in the past and did not get a response, please do feel free to apply again. We’ve been rather busy on our end and many emails were lost from possible contributors).
DraftMagic.com is currently looking for new staff members. If you’d like the chance to contribute to one of the fastest growing Magic sites on the web, here it is! We would like to stress though that though we are a fun bunch of guys, we take our contributions to the site seriously, and are looking for applicants with that same drive and work ethic to keep the site moving ahead.
Unlike other Magic sites which offer a hodge-podge of content from countless personalities, DraftMagic maintains a small group of core contributors who act as the faces of the site. This means you should be a genuinely entertaining individual, and somebody who’ll help keep up our reputation for posting awesome articles and videos with our trademark brand of “anything goes” humor. Contributors are also remain active in the DraftMagic community, replying to video comments, posting in the forums, and participating in staff-wide events (podcasts, community drafts) whenever possible. We do offer some minor monetary compensation for your contributions, though any applicant should understand that we’re currently a small hobbyist site with some very limited ad revenue to pass around, and you shouldn’t be quitting your day job or anything like that.
If this interests you at all, here’s the specifics on some positions we’re looking to fill.
Video Producers
DraftMagic’s Video Producers are expected to contribute high-quality video content for use on our website and YouTube channel, typically twice a month (once every two weeks). For most applicants we’ll expect to see a sample of your skills, so do try and record a sample draft video to show us if you’ve never done one before. We are especially interested in people able to record Standard, Vintage and other specialty events. We are even more interested in anyone with a professional Magic record.
Column Writers
Column writers are responsible for maintaining a regular written column on a certain facet of Magic, anything from strategy to performing card-alters. If you’ve got an idea for a great weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly feature, we’d love to hear it!
News Writers
News writers will be expected to scour various sources for the latest in MTG news, and post it on the page as soon as possible, averaging about 1-2 news stories a day. Applicants will need to have some familiarity with Adobe Photoshop (or its equivalent) in order to be considered.
Other
Got an idea? Let us know. DraftMagic is always considering new ideas from possible contributors.
If interested in any of these positions, contact DraftMagic@gmail.com.

proof reading is your friend
Going to finally have some free time after this week to play some MOTO. I’ll probably record a draft and send it in to you guys.
i have thought about this a little… what about a like a bi weekly breakdown of decks and strategies that stop them as well as a rogue deck idea to mix up a random fnm, i mean with all of the bird blades and poison poping up it might be helpful to some players looking to shake things up… just a thought though
I can draft once a week, maybe more. I’ll send you a video of one of my drafts. What recording device/program do you use? You’re website is incredible and I enjoy watching every draft. Bad news bears and hot garbage is now officially part of my everyday vocabulary.
I’d love to see something like MTG’s “Building with a Budget”, and limited deck articles with videos of the deck in action.
Another really small suggestion that maybe only I would like: a small tut video on all the features of the MTGO client.
I’ve been trying for awhile to upload my draft videos to youtube and it just doesn’t seem to want to upload :( I’ve been using Freezscreen and Debut screen capture for my videos and not sure if that’s the problem or not
Huck- Try using Camstudio.

And this helped with audio and video sync.
I know you’re for video samples… i have none right now, but I’ve always enjoyed watching block constructed vids…. Gives you an idea on the new standard and for those on a budget it’s a more playable format.
